If you are going to be staining your project, test any stain you are considering on a scrap of wood or an inconspicuous spot to ensure that the color of the stain. This will help you avoid any surprises if the stain color looks different after it has been applied. Wood is not always predictable, so you can stay away from disappointment and mistakes with this easy test.
